Why is Laurie Notaro so funny?  Autobiography of a Fat Bride made me laugh so hard I think I broke something.  Her story (or rather, long series of questions) called "Dead Bride Walking" was perfect.  "Young man, it's time to go home!  Where are your friends?"  Melanie and I were cracking up when I read her a story from one of her other books.

Heh heh heh....yeah.  Laurie Notaro is hilarious and comes up with great titles, as shown by The Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club: True Tales of A Magnificent and Clumsy Life.  I bought her book An Idiot Girl's Christmas last year (I think?) around the holiday season and laughed my butt off at her Christmas stories.  She is rare among cynical ( Read more... )
